Briana Hamm, Esq. returns to Martine, Katz Scanlon & Schimmel as an Associate Attorney after serving as a Co-Op student intern here during her final year of law school.

Ms. Hamm graduated cum laude from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2016. She earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University in May 2020 where she focused her work and educational experience solely on family law matters. Ms. Hamm was a Co-Founder and President of the Family Law Society and served as a Teaching Assistant to Dean Lori Brooks for her Family Law and Professional Practice Fundamental classes. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards as the top performing student in her Advanced Trial Advocacy and Lawyering Practice Seminar classes.

In addition to her time at MKSS, during law school, Ms. Hamm interned at Philadelphia Legal Assistance in their Custody and Support Assistance Clinic and at the Montgomery County Public Defenders in their Juvenile Dependency Unit, providing invaluable support for indigent families in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Hamm was honored by the faculty at Drexel Law as the 2020 recipient of the Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Eric D. Turner Award.

After law school, Ms. Hamm completed a one-year clerkship with the Honorable John J. Matheussen, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Family Division in Gloucester County, New Jersey. She was admitted to practice in New Jersey in December 2020 and in Pennsylvania in April 2021 and focuses her practice on all areas of matrimonial law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Hamm currently lives in Philadelphia with her husband and their three cats.
